Umm Al Quwain Hotels

Known as one of the quieter and more laid back emirates, Umm Al Quwain UAE covers a small area comprising only 800 square meters flanking the Arabian Gulf shoreline. Set between its emirate counterparts Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman, Umm Al Quwain travel is mostly short and sweet as the area is only five kilometers long by one kilometer wide. Umm Al Quwain UAE is bestowed with abundant natural beauty. Lush, coastal mangroves, sweeping sand dunes and the inland oasis all characterize the emirate laden with natural allure. Umm Al Quwain is also the emirate’s capital and brims with many private companies, abundant markets, several banks and the typical Ruler’s office

Transportation is not much of an issue and remains affordable during Umm Al Quwain travel. The main attractions include long stretches of pristine beaches, public stables where many ride trained horses and a vibrant, enveloped lagoon. Only a kilometer away from Umm Al Quwain lies Seneyah Island, a renowned sanctuary home to many deer, large bird species and native Al Qaram trees. Umm Al Quwain travel should include a visit to Al Dur Island, the nearby celebrated archaeologically site where many fascinating items have been uncovered throughout the years. The site houses the remains of a prominent settlement that dates back more than 2,000 years. Stone houses, tombs, glassware from Syria and Egypt along with large jars once used for storage are a handful of the discovered items.

Umm Al Quwain resorts have been popping up all over the area as part of the many intense developments that have occurred over the last few years, similar to the development endeavor throughout Al Ain. In addition to the many Umm Al Quwain resorts, many new roads, buildings, parks and other amenities have been added to the growing infrastructure in an attempt to attract more tourism and strengthen the economy, much like Dubai has done over the years. Keeping in stride with UAE history, the road networks are connected to many charming villages where there are a great number of colorful Bedouin settlements.

There are several fun things to do in and around Umm Al Quwain UAE. Falaj Al Mualla is a curious oasis village with a thriving agricultural scene connected to Umm Al Quwain by a brialliantly scenic byway running beside Wadi Al Batha. Also a must-see during Umm Al Quwain travel is the Umm Al Quwain Fort. It houses many of the remnants found at the Al Dur archaeological site as well as an exceptional collection of weapons and an extravagant jewelry cumulation. Hanging on one of the tower walls is the history of the tower which includes stories of murder, betrayal and revenge.

The many Umm Al Quwain resorts make for a very pleasant and relaxing stay in the region. The UAE resorts offer great dining, many shopping opportunities and excellent accommodation with many great amenities. Many people spend their holidays at the Palma Beach Resort or the Umm Al Quwain Beach Hotel, both four star facilities. Laced with tropical gardens, several pools, an expansive beach and plenty of outdoor activities, The Flamingo Beach Resort is another favorite among visitors. Umm Al Quwain resorts each offer many exciting activities including afternoon cruises fishing trips, diving, snorkeling and much more.
